week 2 : History of July 4
This video shows that Matt Damon is talking about the Declaration of Independence.
He is pointing out that the Declaration of Independence is very important to the American people because this spirit of the Declaration of Independence made all people in the U.S equal and same. This one also importantly considers about people's life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
Because of being this document, people can freely speak and protest in order to make the U.S better.
The reason why I selected this video is that the Declaration of Independence made the foundation of spirit which American people consider now: Liberty.

Hi! you guys!
Nice to meet you!
I'm AWON KIM,and I'm from Korea in Seoul.
I'm twenty three years old now.
I came in U.S seven months ago, and
I lived with my older brother nearby our school.
I would like to introduce my family first.
My family is consisted of 4 members: father, mother, brother, and me.
We are always doing something together.
However, now we can't do something together
because my parents are living in Korea
and my older brother and I are living in U.S now.
We are always missing my parent so we call to parent everyday.
This is my third quarter in SEIC and this lecture class is the first time.
I hope I'm passing this class in this quarter :)
,so I know that I have to effort more than now.
Actually, in my country, my major was physical education so
I had not studied English before so much like I am doing now.
First quarter in the SEIC was very difficult to me because
I couldn't do anything by myself.
so I was helped everything by my older brother.
Now, even if I should get some help by my brother,
I am trying my best as much as I can in order to do everything by myself.
I want to study business as my major,
so I need to study for my major very hard as well as my English skills.
I hope this quarter helps me improve ENGLISH ability!
(I am only focusing on developing my English abilities.)
Thanks for reading my story!
